More than 70 percent ends up in landfills or on bonfires. Nearly 100 brands have signed up to the Global Fashion Agenda's 2020 Circular Fashion System Commitment, which requires companies to set and report on targets to reduce waste and increase reuse and recycling. Adidas itself has pledged to only use recycled polyester by 2024 and will ...
Both companies have positioned themselves as part of efforts to make fashion's supply chain more sustainable. But their endeavours to reduce emissions and eliminate toxic chemistry are complicated and technical to communicate. "Sustainability clients are super intense from a PR perspective," Loo said. "It's a lot of research ...
Basic Oxygen Furnace. Basic Oygen Furncace (BOF) is a pear shaped vessel where the pig iron from blast furnace, and ferrous scrap, is refined into steel by injecting a jet high-purity oxygen through the hot metal. ... Recycling of BOF steelmaking slag: Iron recovered from BOF slag saves 10.5 GJ/t-steel. Demonstration: Basic Oxygen Furnace ...
Furnace-Basic Oxygen Furnace (BF-BOF) route and Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and /or Induction Furnace (IF) route. The BF-BOF route (primary sector) caters to around 45% of India's steelmaking capacity, while the remaining 55% is processed through the EAF and IF route, mostly in MSME sector (called as secondary ...
The production line should be capable of manufacturing, filling and assembly of High Explosive (HE) type Percussion Cap (PC) and Detonator Cup (DC) for Grenade Hand HE (similar to Arges-84 type). b. The Percussion Cap and Detonator Cup (attached drawing) should be compatible with BOF produced Base corpus with Delay Element.
01-02-2021· 01-02-2021· BOF steelmaking needs the heat of the molten iron and other reactions. In the final stages of steelmaking, BOF slag floats on top of the molten steel and is composed of the impurities combined with burnt lime or dolomite (Brandt, 1985).BOF slag accounts for a large proportion of the total steel slag production.
Using hydrogen in the Blast Furnace – Basic Oxygen Furnace route (BF-BOF) Steel production via the BF-BOF route. Sour ce: Bellona Europa, 2019. The BF-BOF route, also known as the primary production rou te, a ccounts for 60% of steel production in Europe. The majority of the emissions come from the blast furnace and the coke plant.

6. E-waste recycling Recycling of hazardous products by moving hazards into secondary products should be beneficial to the environment when discarded. Environmentally sound management requires the establishment of collection centers, transportation, treatment, storage, recovery and disposal of e-waste, at national and/or regional levels.

This article gives an overview of the history of refractory recycling and the main refractory recycling applications, with a particular focus on recycling in new refractories. Current spent refractory processing in view of raw material recycling is discussed, and an outlook is given to future trends and developments.
This article first appeared in The State of Fashion 2022, an in-depth report on the global fashion industry, co-published by BoF and McKinsey & Company. To learn more and download a copy of the report, click here. Globally, the fashion industry is responsible for around 40 million tonnes of textile waste a year, most of which is either sent to landfill or incinerated.
ed pellets charged into the BOF converter. As shown in Table 1 the sludge and dust are primarily composed of iron oxide (20–60%), and the remaining main components were CaO, MgO, SiO 2 and Al 2 O 3. Except for BF flue dust and BOF coarse sludge, the chemical composition of all other materials are stable in metal oxide forms.
